Queens Pageant

PAGEANT FORMS ARE IN THE WORKS FOR THE 2027 MARDI GRAS OF SWLA QUEENS PAGEANT

Details:

• Contestants 5 - 8 years old must wear a Cupcake style dresses and no silk smocks

• Contestants 9 year old and up must wear Long formals

• A 30 to 60 second introduction will be required for all divisions

• Mask decoration competition is for 13 years and up (required)

• An interview will be held for divisons Jr, Ms., Miss.

The 2027 Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana Queens Pageant Forms will be here soon. Once ready you will click on the appropriate age Division and fill out the correct for per age group.

Requirements:

Residential Requirements for competing: Competitor, Parents or grandparents must reside in one of the five parishes listed, OR parents or grandparents' own land/property in one of the five parishes, OR competitor go to school in one of the five schools listed: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, or Jeff Davis Parish.

Junior Miss, Ms, & Miss will have interview.

Teen, Junior, Ms, & Miss will have a decorated mask competition.

First session for younger competitors is at 10:00 am.

Second session for older competitors is at 5pm with interview at 1pm. Interview will be on bio and Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana history and Mardi Gras history. DON'T BE NERVOUS!

Please be mindful of how many state or fair/festivals the competitor has at the time of competition. MGSWLA queens are held liable for a certain amount of State and /or fair/festival titles.

All Queens are required to be present at ALL MGSWLA events/parades/media publicity/balls etc. This will be listed on the entry forms and contracts.
