Merchants' Parade
Time & Location
Feb 13, 2026, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Lake Charles, 900 Lakeshore Dr, Lake Charles, LA 70601, USA
The Merchants’ Parade helps kick off the Mardi Gras parade season in Southwest Louisiana and is a family-friendly celebration where local businesses come together to support the fun and excitement of Mardi Gras. Instead of traditional krewes, the parade features decorated vehicles and floats representing local merchants, organizations, and community partners.
Participating businesses advertise their brand in a festive and engaging way—showcasing their name, services, and community pride while interacting directly with parade-goers. It’s a unique opportunity for businesses to connect with thousands of spectators, give back to the community, and be part of one of the most anticipated
events of the Mardi Gras season.
For spectators, the Merchants’ Parade offers a lively experience filled with music, colorful floats, and giveaways, all while celebrating the local businesses that help make Mardi Gras Southwest Louisiana possible.
Parade Route
The parade begins at the Lake Charles Event Center and travels south on Ryan Street, concluding at Sale Road.
